Fasting is an ancient practice and our ancestors practiced it from century to century. our saints used this fasting technique to cure disease and prevent it.
Fasting is also a therapeutic treatment to cure diseases in naturopathy and Ayurveda.
fasting is a magical science that works with body cleansing, detoxification with the natural cycle, and circadian rhythm of the body without taking any external effort.
But Nowadays some healthcare practitioners misuse it as a weight loss tool which is totally wrong.
Fasting is much more than weight loss if it is done in the right way .it will help you regenerate your cellular energy, improve your metabolism, and improve your skin and hair quality.
It helps you reset your metabolism, detoxify and waste products elimination, treat diseases, and improve over health.
But it needs to be done in the right manner like making the consistency of the time duration and fixing time. it is not necessary to make it up to 12, 14,16, and 18 hours of fasting, The Ideal 12 hours of consistent fasting is also good for the initial phase of intermittent fasting. It is not written anywhere that you have to fast for a specific time it is up to your body's intelligence potential. It could be 12, 13, or 15 hours.
Fast as much as your body allows you to fast without creating any stress in your body and feeling of starvation. When your body shifts to starvation mode it puts more stress on your body and raises the level of cortisol hormone, cortisol is the stress hormone that invites the disease and mashed up with your metabolism and immunity system of the body.
Do fast until your body allows it, and do not stretch the time of fasting to achieve the long hours of fasting it spoils the quality of the result.
Mistakes you should avoid in fasting
Do not change the time every day stay consistent with the time.
Hydrate yourself properly
Starving is not a fasting
Drink coffee & lemon water, fruit
Breaking a fast with a heavy meal
Never punish your body for extending the time.
The correct method to break the fast
Break your fast with:
Dry fruits
Warm salt water
Pieces of dates
Soaked Nuts
How to do intermittent fasting
Take your last meal with sunset or after within one hour of sunset and do not eat anything except water and keep fasting till the next day morning until your body allows you to fast. Remember this Intermittent fasting is not a weight loss tool only.
