Not moving your body or not doing exercise is the biggest cause of a slowdown of the metabolism. It is not recommended to sit for a long time it just slows down metabolism which could lead to many fatal diseases. It is scientifically proven but I am repeating again.

There is a difference between when you are sleeping and resting your body then when you awake and resting your body for a longer duration.

But when you're sitting in the same position with open eyes and a working brain for more than 30 minutes, as you are doing the desk job or just scrolling on a phone. It slows down the body's metabolism, and after 2 hours of long sitting, there is a 20% drop in good cholesterol which could lead to heart disease.

When sitting for a longer time duration your body feels no use of energy as you are not doing the activity. It starts the slowing down of physiological reactions in the body such as digestion, blood circulation, and breathing so there is no breakdown of the carbohydrate and protein for the energy they get deposited into the liver as fat cells and the body adapts to this behavior making you fatty with each passing day and you seems hard to loss is fat and there is slow down of the blood circulation also so there more deposition of toxin material in the body.

It also starts the deposition of urea into the blood, and many diseases like hypertension, cholesterol, Type 2 diabetes, hormone imbalance, PCOD & PCOS, etc.

According to scientific research, it is found that the 5-minute walk & stretching after every 30 - 45 Minutes of sitting will help you to regulate your blood pressure, regulate your blood sugar level and prevent obesity, etc.
